This cookie policy explains how KiThumbs, operated by Innovative Kits Production, uses cookies and similar technologies on kithumbs.com, this blog and the KiThumbs app at app.kithumbs.com. It should be read together with our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way. They can be needed for a site to work, or used to remember preferences or measure how a site is used.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the Services to work and cannot be switched off in our systems.
- Session and authentication. Keep you signed in to the KiThumbs app and protect your account.
- Security. Help detect abuse and protect forms, such as the newsletter signup, against spam.
- Signed-in status. A small cookie that tells kithumbs.com and this blog whether you are signed in to the app, so we can show “Open the app” instead of “Log in”. It contains no personal information.
Analytics
- Website analytics. On kithumbs.com and this blog we use privacy-friendly analytics that measure visits without advertising cookies and without building profiles of individual visitors.
- Product analytics. In the KiThumbs app we use product analytics that may set cookies or use local storage to understand how features are used, so we can fix problems and improve the product.
Payments
When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment provider may set cookies needed to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by the provider’s own policies.
Advertising
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Services, such as signing in, will not work. Where the law requires your consent for non-essential cookies, we ask for it before setting them, and you can change your choice at any time.
Changes
We may update this policy when the technologies we use change. The date on this page shows when it was last updated.
