This page explains how the KiThumbs blog is written and what you can expect from it. We publish it because trust in a blog depends on knowing how it works, especially when the blog belongs to a company that sells a product in the same field.
Who writes and who decides
Articles are written by Paul Lowe, the blog’s author, and reviewed by the KiThumbs team before publication. Each article shows its author and the date it was last updated.
How articles are researched
- Official sources first. When we describe how YouTube works, such as how impressions are counted or how Test and Compare chooses a winner, we rely on YouTube’s own documentation and announcements, and we say when a feature is still rolling out or may differ by channel.
- No invented numbers. We do not publish benchmarks, statistics or results we cannot support. Where there is no reliable universal number, such as a “good” click-through rate, we say so and explain how to find the right comparison on your own channel.
- Methods you can check. Our guides favor methods you can apply and verify with your own data over claims you have to take on trust.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools in parts of our work, for example to help with research, outlines, drafts, editing and images. Every article is reviewed, edited and checked by a person before it is published, and the author is responsible for what it says. We do not publish AI generated text without human review, and we do not use AI to fabricate examples, quotes, data or reviews.
Our commercial interests
The blog is published by KiThumbs. We have a direct economic interest in creators and agencies using KiThumbs, and readers should know that when reading anything we write about thumbnail tools.
- We mention KiThumbs where it is relevant, and we say clearly that it is our product.
- In comparisons, we describe what each kind of tool is good and bad at, including where KiThumbs is not the best choice.
- We do not accept payment from other companies to include, rank or review their products.
- If we ever use affiliate links, we will label them clearly in the article where they appear.
Corrections and updates
YouTube changes often, and so do the tools around it. We update articles when features change and show the date of the last update on each one. If you find a mistake, write to hello@kithumbs.com. We correct factual errors promptly, and when a correction changes the meaning of an article, we say so in the article.
